Mark Zuckerberg has 16 Million fans on Facebook, if you’re not one of them & want to message him about something then you’d need to pay $100 for it. Sounds weird?
Actually, Facebook is looking for various alternatives to raise more money. It was heard that the investors of Facebook wants more money, so it’s natural to look out for new methods to monetize Facebook. For the same reason, Facebook launched a $1 message service in December. You can use this service to message anyone unknown. Basically, to filter out spams & to earn money from messaging only.
Now, if you want to ask something from Zuckerberg or want to say something then you will have to shell out $100. But the other way around is– Like /Follow his page & you can save your $100 for messaging him!! One who is not a follower among the 16 Million followers, needs to pay $100 & there will be a surety that the message doesn’t end up in “Other” folder of messages.

Don’t raise your eyebrows while reading all this. Actually, you must have read the tagline of Facebook i.e. “It’s free & always will be” but they are monetizing it!! These ways may look kiddish to you but you can’t bet that it wouldn’t happen in future.
There can be any number of ways to monetize Facebook but the challenge would be to retain users & their interest in Facebook. Maximum users are addicted to free stuffs, so it would be hard to reap such benefits from long time users. Let’s see what will be the ways in future to raise more money.
